On Thursday, April 16th 2026, I had a book launch for my new British book, „The Real Alma Mahler – Composer, Socialite, Rebel and Influencer,“ together with Peter Mahler, a descendant of the world-famous Austrian composer and conductor Gustav Mahler, in a wing of the Vienna Hofburg Palace hosted by the Association of Austrian Women Academics (VAÖ).
Many lovely guests — young and old —from Vienna and Lower Austria, as well as from Germany and Ukraine, attended and exchanged many idea and thoughts about Alma.
You can see in the pictures posted here, how the hall gradually filled up. We even had to set up extra chairs in the adjoining room.
It was an eclectic evening with many questions about Alma and Gustav Mahler.
I would like to thank the president of the Association of Austrian Women Academics and her team for the invitation and for hosting the event in her rooms. It was simply wonderful!
